The Space Wizards are back to save contemporary art! In the first episode the wizards successfully defeated the Mediators, mercenary space police who could dissolve objects into images. Now they face a new threat: an invasion by ‘Boltzmann Brains’ and their remote controlled Face Ships.

Space Wizards is a trilogy of allegorical science fiction stories that explore crises and debates in contemporary art. The Space Wizards are not only wizards of outer space, but also of sculptural space. Each has their own set of giant ‘Waldo’ hands with unique artistic powers that they use to make things and defend themselves.

Simon Yates’ artworks often take the form of inventions which aim to solve problems or bypass complicated technology. Space Wizards incorporates many of these art-inventions into a fictional illustrated and sculptural universe inhabited by various life-forms based on 20th century art movements. Join the Wizards as they harness the powers of art and science to defend the future.
